Ready-Set-Go

This summer has flown by. It was particularly speedy for five reasons.
1. It began by spending an extra month at my university and finding out the very exciting news that I was chosen to be a Gilman Scholar. Hooray!
2. Next, it was off to upstate New York to be with my family for a month. It was a month filled with playing dolls with my little sister, playing board games with the boys, and mainly, sleeping in.
3. Then it was my week-long acting auditions in Orlando, Florida. Although a nerve-wracking time, the auditions provided a lot of interesting leads for my future in acting.
4. After Florida it was off to Ohio to work at my university as a counselor for a bunch of students from Beijing, China. I had two weeks there and then a week in D.C. with them. We survived, despite worries otherwise.
5. After the Asian invasion, it was time to board a plane to Seattle, Washington to visit family for a week. My brother and I had a wonderful time out there in the beautiful northwest. Nothing quite like it.

Now I'm home for the last little stretch, packing up for my time studying abroad in Amman, Jordan. I'm ridiculously anxious, but I really just can't wait to get this adventure rolling. An adventure is just what I need right now anyway.
And so it begins!
